Glasses repair and service

Do your glasses slip, press, sit crooked after a fall or have a loose screw? Bring them to the salon. We will check whether adjustment, cleaning, a small part replacement or workshop repair is enough.

1

Come in with your glasses

Bring the whole pair, including broken-off parts, screws, nose pads, temples and case if the damage happened after a fall.

2

We check the cause

We assess whether the problem comes from frame position, worn parts, lenses or a change in vision.

3

No home experiments

Do not force-straighten frames or heat them with a dryer. It is easy to crack material or damage lens coatings.

When to bring glasses in for service
Symptoms

When to bring glasses in for service

Come in if the frame is loose, glasses slide down your nose, press behind the ears, sit crooked after a fall or lenses do not align evenly in front of your eyes. It is also worth visiting when nose pads harden, a hinge resists movement or glasses start creaking.

Do not wait until a small looseness becomes a crack. In many cases, a few minutes of adjustment improves comfort and protects the frame from bigger damage.

  • glasses slipping down the nose
  • pressure behind the ears or on the nose
  • crooked frame after a fall
  • loose hinges, screws or nose pads
What we can repair or adjust
Scope

What we can repair or adjust

We adjust frame position, shape temples, replace nose pads, tighten and match screws, clean hard-to-reach places and check whether lenses sit securely in the frame.

If an element is cracked or badly worn, we assess whether it can be safely replaced. For more serious damage, we will say clearly when repair makes sense and when a new frame is better.

  • bridge and temple adjustment
  • nose-pad and small-part replacement
  • frame and hinge cleaning
  • assessment of whether the frame is safe to keep wearing

What service looks like in the salon

First we inspect the glasses and ask what exactly bothers you. We check frame symmetry, hinge movement, nose-pad condition, lens seating and how the glasses sit on your face.

After adjustment, you put the glasses on again. Only then do we assess whether pressure is even, the image is stable and the frame does not slip with head movement.

  • inspection of frame and lenses
  • adjustment with optical equipment
  • try-on after every change
  • care and storage recommendations
What not to do yourself and when to start with an eye exam
Before visiting

What not to do yourself and when to start with an eye exam

Do not force-straighten frames, glue hinges, heat plastic with a dryer or use window cleaners. These attempts often make repair harder or damage lens coatings.

If the glasses fit well but the image suddenly became less clear, your head aches, night vision worsened or you need to hold your head differently, the problem may require an eye exam, not only adjustment.

  • do not use glue or tape on hinges
  • do not heat the frame at home
  • do not clean lenses with aggressive chemicals
  • if vision changes, consider an eye exam
