FAQ: eye exams, glasses and contact lenses
You do not need to know the names of lenses or coating types. Just tell us what is happening with your vision and we will advise where to start.
Choose an optometrist if you see worse, have blurred vision, squint or get headaches after computer work. An optometrist specialises in vision correction and fitting glasses or contact lenses.
An ophthalmologist is a medical doctor. See one if you have inflammation, a red painful eye, sudden floaters, flashes, injury or need treatment of eye diseases such as cataract or glaucoma.
