Progressive lenses: one pair for everything

Do you hold your phone farther away to read messages? Do you have two pairs of glasses and keep switching? Progressive lenses solve both problems: distance, computer and reading in one pair, with no visible lines.

Smooth power transitions

No visible dividing lines. A progressive lens looks like a classic lens, but contains an advanced multifocal optical design.

Fast adaptation

With precise measurements, adaptation can be immediate and, with higher powers, usually takes only a few days. The progressive lenses we offer come with a satisfaction guarantee.

Matched to you

A programmer needs a different intermediate zone than a professional driver. We choose the right corridor for your lifestyle.

Three zones, no compromise
How it works

Three zones, no compromise

The design of a progressive lens resembles an hourglass. The upper part supports distance vision, for example while driving. The middle, narrowest part is the intermediate zone, useful at a desk and monitor.

At the bottom is the near zone. Simply lower your gaze naturally to read a book or menu. The transition is smooth, without visible jumps in the image, so the brain quickly learns the new way of looking.

Why fitting determines success
Precision matters

Why fitting determines success

We often hear the myth that progressives are impossible to get used to. In reality, problems most often come from an inaccurate exam or imprecise mounting. With progressives, the margin of error is measured in millimetres.

At Vide-Optyk we measure pupil distance, pantoscopic angle, lens-to-cornea distance and many other parameters. Only precise fitting gives a wide field of view and adaptation that often takes just a few days.

The progressive lenses we offer come with a satisfaction guarantee. We explain the details during fitting in the salon.

Questions and answers

Frequently asked questions

Who are progressive glasses for?

For people who need sharp vision at several distances and don't want to keep switching between reading and distance glasses. They are most often chosen by people over 40, when presbyopia makes near vision harder.

How long does it take to get used to progressive glasses?

Most people adapt within 1-2 weeks, and with precise measurements often within a few days.

If you still feel dizzy or see clear distortions after 2-3 weeks, come back to the salon. We will check the parameters and, if needed, choose a lens with a different design.

Why can't some people get used to progressives?

Usually because of an imprecise exam or fitting. With progressives the margin of error is millimetres. That is why we measure pupil distance, the frame's pantoscopic tilt and the distance between lens and cornea, and the progressive lenses we offer come with a satisfaction guarantee.

How long do I wait for progressive glasses?

Usually 5 to 10 working days, because progressive lenses are made to order.

What is the difference between progressive and office glasses?

Progressives cover distance, intermediate and near vision. Office glasses are optimised only for working distances, from about 40 cm to 4 m, so they give a wider field of view at the monitor and documents. They are a good addition to progressives for long computer work.

Can I pay for progressive glasses in instalments?

Yes. Instalment payments are available in our salons, including PayPo.
